Zero-dimensional (0-D) Ag nanoparticles (NPs) and one-dimensional (1-D) Ag nanowires (NWs) can be effectively used in electronics and catalysts due to their high surface-to-volume ratios.3-5 Many attempts have been made to fabricate electrical conductive composites using Ag NPs or Ag NWs alone, but there have been few reports addressing hybrid fillers. In this study, 1-D Ag nanowires (NWs), 2-D chemically reduced graphene (CRG), and hybrid CRG-Ag NWs fillers were investigated for use as conductive epoxy composites. By combining the 2-D CRG with 1-D Ag NWs, the percolation limit of the Ag NWs decreased from 30 wt% to 10 wt% and the electrical conductivity was dramatically enhanced. |
