To develop hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite materials for optoelectronic applications, understanding mechanism of photophysical processes is important. For this investigation, we introduced large aromatic cations to Ruddlesden-Popper type and and quasi-2D lead halide perovskite materials in thin film forms. From the obtained films, we observed photoluminescence spectra with a large Stokes-shift and specific vibrational state. The emission originates from phosphorescence of the aromatic organic cations although thin films consisting of only organic cations exhibits a small Stokes shift and non-specific vibrational spectra in comparison with films of perovskite materials. This observation reveals that electrons in the triplet state of lead halide perovskite are involved in photophysical process. |
