Selection of emulsifiers with HLB value for Cosmetic Facial Creams |

Recently, with increasing interest in dermatology, research of emulsification which is fundamental process of cosmetic manufacturing is also activated. Making the emulsion with two different immiscible liquids to disperse one liquid into another liquid is emulsification. In order to fuse both liquids, emulsifier is used. Selection criteria for nonionic surface active agent used in the manufacturing process is the HLB. HLB has the meaning of hydrophile lipophile balance. It means that the higher value of HLB has the larger portion of hydrophile property. In this study, we tried to find the optimal conditions of cosmetic emulsification with different standard contents of emulsifiers and rate of emulsification. Through that results, we evaluated the satbility. |
