Preparation and characterization of encapsulated drug with poly(ε caprolactone)/poly(ethylene oxide) microcapsule |
초록 |
Microcapsules were prepared by a solvent evaporation using a water/oil/water (W/O/W) emulsion system. W/O emulsion consist of an aqueous solution containing rhodamine B as hydrophilic drug and a dichloromethane solution of containing biodegradable polymers such as hydrophobic poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and hydrophilic poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO). The W/O emulsion was added to another aqueous solution containing 0.006%(w/v) PVA. The microcapsule was investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscope (FT-IR), and confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM). The release of rhodamine B from the PCL/PEO microcapsules was investigated by UVVis spectroscope. PCL/PEO microcapsules showed higher release of rhodamine B as PEO content increased due to the higher hydrophilicity of microcapsule components. |
