제목 Temperature Programmed Study for the Characterization of Silver Loaded Hydrophobic Zeolite Catalyst for Lean VOC Oxidation
초록 The lean VOC control techniques have recently been of great interest as the regulation becomes stricter. The dual functional adsorbent/catalyst system has been suggested as one of the best strategies for lean VOC control. In this study, the Ag/HY was proposed as a good candidate for dual functional adsorbent/catalyst and the catalytic effects of silver loading and hydrophobicity were discussed. Temperature programmed techniques such as temperature programmed reduction (TPR), O2-temperature programmed desorption (O2-TPD) and temperature programmed surface reaction (TPSR) were carried out over Ag/HY catalysts to explain the nature of active centre of Ag catalyst for the toluene oxidation. From the charaterization results, the silver oxide species or partially oxidized metallic silver on to the surface of metallic silver phase was proposed as an active redox site during the oxidation reaction.
