Immobilization of carbonic anhydrase into bicontinuous nanoporous covalent framework membrane |

Bicontinuous nanoporous covalent framework membrane was synthesized by blending of organic molecular network sol and poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG). The network sol was synthesized by polymerizing tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)methane and hexamethylene diisocyanate in DMF. When the solvent of mixture was evaporated, the framework membrane was generated via interplay between phase separation and sol-gel transition. The pore of membrane was generated by washing the PEG with water. Pore widths varied with a sigmoidal distribution between 5~30nm. Carbonic anhydrase was immobilized by passing carbonic anhydrase solution through the nanoporous covalent framework membrane. We confirmed the immobilization of carbonic anhydrase by electron microscopy. We studied biocatalytic activity of the carbonic anhydrase –impregnated membrane. |
