제목 Enhancement of the VFAs productivity by controlling proton and electron migration from C1 gas conversion
초록 The carbon monoxide conversion into value-added platform chemicals has been of great interest in industrial biotechnology due to the demand syngas fermentation. Nevertheless, the biological CO conversion process is difficult to be implemented into the industry due to lack of cost-effective process. The low conversion yield and/or cell growth rate of CO-utilizing microbes hinders to develop appropriate biorefinery process for gas substrate. Recently, bioelectrochemical system (BES) based CO/CO2 conversion provide a potential route to improve conversion efficiency and cell growth of strains. In this study, to investigate the correlation of VFAs productivity and, proton and electron migration efficiency, we examined the BES examined not only the applied potential range for proton production but also the proton migration and reducing energy supplied by the different anodic pH, membrane type, and electron carrier (as mediator)
