The monodisperse silica spheres have been synthesized using Stöber synthetic process with TEOS. Since the surface of silica nanospheres can be easily modified with large number of functional groups, it is valuable to investigate the effect of the functional groups not only on the growth soybean sprout but also the cumulation of the ions in the body of soybean sprout. The resulting soybean sprouts were analyzed with FESEM to identify the existence of the spheres in the soybean sprout and EDS to analyze the composition of the element. Large number of crystal nanoparticles also observed in the root of the soybean sprout. The elements (weight rations) of the root of the soybean sprout are carbon (42.16%), nitrogen (7.55 %), oxygen, silicon (0.19 %), sulfur (0.86 %), potassium (4.33 %) and calcium (9.39 %). The silica nanoparticles are mainly cumulated in the root of soybean sprout, and large amount of inorganic minerals are also cumulated in the soybean sprout. |
