제목 ZnO nanoparticle incorporated in a cellulose nanofiber as a sustainable architecture for a solid-state symmetric supercapacitor
초록 The physical property exhibited by one-dimension cellulose nanofiber (1D CNF) makes it a potential candidate utilized in energy storage system for the wearable and portable electronics in the future; however, there are still challenges in achieving practical applications. Sustainable 1D CNF can provide lightweight, renewable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly property with a higher performance in the systems. Herein, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles was synthesized on the surface of CNF to form ZnO-CNF hybrid via a facile sol-gel reaction. The ZnO particles were evenly distributed over the surface offering good dispersion, larger surface area and improved intrinsic conductivity. ZnO-CNF hybrid in the symmetrical solid-state device exhibited a remarkable capacitive performance (220 F/g, 30.3 Wh/kg at 1 A/g of current density) and outstanding cycling stability (⁓91.2 % of capacity retentions and ⁓ 93 % of coulombic  efficiency over the 5000 cycles) signifying the excellent electrochemical performance.
