While ensuring chemical stability, the VRFB used in the system has to keep the cost of the membrane low. Our problem is that the existing membrane Nafion117 is very expensive. To be ideal, ion-exchange membrane must have high ion selectivity and have properties that give it high chemical stability in a strong acid in aqueous solution and it must be of low cost. This is because the system being employed is a redox flow battery in a strong oxidizing solution using strongly oxidizing transition elements. The membrane must be acid and oxidation resistant. In this study, the VRFB used for improving the ionic conductivity at RT using H2SO4 acid using PEEK sulfonated acid groups. We combined three substances sulfonated acid groups, and the SSA had hydroxyl equivalent conductivity structure and SPEEK. Then the physical characteristics and ionic conductivity changes were observed. |
