The development of simple and versatile methods for the preparation of small and uniform nanoparticles has been focused due to their novel material properties which are greatly different from their bulk substances. In this study, we have synthesized uniform array of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) within the ionic cluster network of ion containing block copolymer matrix. Remarkably, we have controlled the size of AuNPs in ranges of 1.5 ~ 5nm by adjusting the ionic strength of block copolymer matrix. Transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and powder x-ray diffraction were carried out, which indicate selectively sequestered AuNPs into ionic moiety. Methanol oxidation properties of synthesized AuNPs with various sizes and arrays are also investigated for the application of direct methanol fuel cell. |
