제목 Biomimetic Composites Actuators Based on Sulfonated SEBS Ionic Membrane
초록 The ionic polymer-metal composites (IPMC) have great potential for biomimetic sensors, actuators and artificial muscles. Sulfonated poly (styrene-b-ethylene-co-butylene-b-styrene) (SSEBS) as a polymer electrolyte membrane has a good ionic conductivity. A novel IPMC actuator fabricated from SSEBS material has been developed. It has a little good bending displacement when applying direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC). It has good electrical behavior at the excitation of different voltage and frequency of AC. The surface and cross-sectional morphology of SSEBS actuator has also been observed. A 8μm thick platinum layer has been deposited on the surface of SSEBS membrane. The surface resistance of SSEBS actuator is bigger than general IPMC actuator based on Nafion and needed to be decreased. SSEBS actuator can uptake plenty of water and swell so that it is too soft to generate large blocking force performance
