제목 | Optimization of VOC of Organic Electronic Devices by Tuning Dipole Moment of Polyelectrolyte as an Interfacial Layer |
초록 | PEDOT:PSS is mostly used as the HTL. However, there is evidence that the acidic nature of PEDOT:PSS is limited long-term device performance and stability. As an alternative to PEDOT:PSS, conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs) have been developed to serve as HTLs in organic electronic devices. In this study, an alcohol-soluble CPE based on fluorene with ionic side chain was designed and synthesized via Suzuki coupling reaction. And the CPE was successfully incorporated into organic solar cell and light emitting diode as a pH-neutral hole-transporting layer via solution process at room temperature. The interfacial conductivity and WF of CPE-coated ITO were controlled by the dipole moment of the CPE. The change of WF by dipole moment was characterized using ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy. The results indicate the importance of judicious selection of a π-conjugated monomer with optimal electrical and structural properties to obtain effective CPE for organic electronic devices. |
