Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method is known as the most proper synthetic method to produce high quality graphene in large area. To take advantage of the many excellent properties of graphene, transferring the graphene without defect is very significant. However, since graphene has several nanometer thickness, monolayer graphene sheets are too much susceptible to mechanical shock during the transfer process. Thus, the defect-free graphene transfer in large area is considered to be challenging. In this study, we coated a polymeric layer on graphene to mitigate the mechanical damages occur during the lamination of graphene and target substrate when transferring the graphene. As transferred graphene showed relatively low sheet resistance which refers to less defects. Moreover, it showed possibility for defect-free graphene transfer in roll-to-roll process application. |
