Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been investigated intensively for several past decades as information displays and general lighting sources due to advantages of wide-viewing angle, fast response time, high color gamut. However, OLED shows ~30% of light loss between ITO electrode and glass substrate by total internal reflection whereas its internal light efficiency reaches almost 100%. To improve this poor efficiency of OLED, some research have been reported regarding to introducing nano-scale diffractive scattering layer. But, the relationship between morphologic structures and light extraction efficiency of OLED has not been studying deeply. In this study, 1D, 2D even Quasi random diffractive gratings were formed by LIL process for the enhancement of light extraction efficiency. we systemically explored the correlation of dimensional changes of gratings and total quantum efficiency of OLED. |
