O,O'-Bis-(2-aminopropyl)polypropylene glycol-block-polyethylene glycol-block-polypropylene glycol 500 (Jeffamine ED-600®) and its mono-protected derivatives were widely used as a linker system in bioassays. In this study, we prepared mono-protected polyethylene glycol (NVOC-, Fmoc- or Boc-PEG) by using 2-chlorotrityl chloride (CTC) resin. The mono-protected PEG can be synthesized readily in high yield from the resin. Similar yields were obtained when we reused the resin or the Jeffamine ED-600® solution that remained after loading to the resin. |
