초록 | Plasmonic nanostructures have attracted significant attention as next-generation materials for a variety of applications ranging from energy to biomedicine. However, their practical applications have been limited by a few critical problems: (1) Scalable & environmentally-benign synthesis of hybrid plasmonic nanostructures with tunable optical properties, (2) active control of their motion and orientation in an aqeous solution, and (3) rational integration of these tiny structures into functional optical, electrical, or microfluidic devices In this presentation, I will briefly discuss key basics of plasmonic nanostructures from the viewpoint of optical properties and introduce a few studies on their applications toward future biomedicine and molecular detection. Then, I will highlight our recent achievements on spontaneous formation of novel plasmonic cavity, programmable synthesis of liposome/metal hybrid nanoparticles, and autonomous motion control of anisotropic metal nanostructures at liquid/liquid interfaces. |
