제목 Effects of the Structures of Polymerizable Monomers on the Photo-induced Phase Separation Behavior as Determined from Diffusing-Wave Spectroscopy
초록 Polymer dispersed liquid crystal films were prepared by photopolymerization of three composites (polymerizable monomers/liquid crystal/photoinitiator). The influence of the structures of the polymerizable monomers on the photopolymerization and phase separation behavior during the formation of polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) was investigated by diffusing wave spectroscopy. This method provides information on the rate and degree of liquid crystal phase separation during photopolymerization. It was found that the chemical structure of monomer and the monomer feed ratio are important parameters, which influence the rate and degree of LC phase separation.
