제목 Interface Engineering of Liquid Crystal Composites for Heat Dissipating Materials
초록 Heat dissipating composites are fabricated using liquid crystal (LC) network with expanded graphite (EG) and boron nitride (BN). While the thermal conductivity of BN is higher than EG, LC-EG composite exhibits higher thermal conductivity than LC-BN composite at same amount of fillers. Spectroscopic analysis reveals that the LC matrix shows poor interfacial affinity with BN. Based on the diffraction analysis, the LC core presents strong π−π interaction with the EG. As a result, it was identified that the good interfacial interactions between the polymer matrix and filler are critical for improving heat dissipating properties composite system.
