In this work, we synthesized LixMnyOz ion-exchange type adsorbent by a solid-state reaction with mixture of Li2CO3 and MnCO3 as a function of reaction temperature, in order to investigate the Li (I) adsorption behaviors from seawater. The crystalline phase was characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. The grain morphology and particle size were observed by scanning electron microscopy and Zeta-potential analysis, respectively. The textural properties were analyzed N2/77 K adsorption isotherms. The Li (I) adsorption capacity was determined by an atomic absorption spectrometer. From the results, the Li2CO3 ratio had effect on the structural and textural properties, resulting in affecting the Li (I) adsorption capacity. |
