제목 Image-guided Interventional Technique with Nanoparticles to Modulate Tumor Microenvironment (TME)
초록 Despite the development of a various therapeutic strategy for tumor treatment, it is still difficult to completely cure tumors. Tumor microenvironment (TME) with heterogeneity significantly limit the effectiveness of the anti-tumor therapeutics. Recently, various physicochemical techniques have been developed through conversions of biomedical imaging and nanotechnology to overcome the TME. Here, this lecture will cover a novel strategy to defeat the TME by a combination of image-guided interventional techniques which are used for local tumor treatment in conventional interventional oncology and nanotechnology. The image-guided interventional approach with nanoparticles can intensively destroy tumor tissues to disrupt the TME and significantly improve the delivery rate of nanomedicines as well as immune cells into the tumor. This new multidisciplinary tumor therapy strategy is believed to have great potential for effective tumor treatment.
