제목 Hybrid superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle-branched polyethylenimine magnetoplexes for gene transfection of vascular endothelial cells
초록 Atherosclerosis and vascular inflammation are caused by various vascular endothelial cell dysfunctions. Gene therapy is a promising way to treat the vascularrelated diseases by controlling the level of various factors playing a crucial role in the developing those disease. However gene delivery efficiencies of human vascular endothelial cells (HUVEC) are generally low due to a high susceptibility of these cells to the normal transfection condition. To transfect highly sensitive HUVEC, therefore, we developed a hybrid superparamagentic iron oxide nanoparticle- branched polyethylenimine magnetoplexs (BPEI-SPION) which could rapidly move to the cells in the presence of an external magnetic field. We synthesized it by covalently conjugating LMW BPEI to the SPION and characterized the physicochemical properties of it. Finally we demonstrated the BPEI-SPION could transfect the therapeutic genes into HUVEC efficiently with high cell viability in a short time on the magnetic field condition
