Copper containing biocidal polymers |

Copper containingbiocidal polymers were prepared by the polymerization of methylmethacrylate and methacrylic acid with copper complex. When the thin film of the polymers coated on silicon wafer was irradiated with electron beam and UV,nanoparticles were obtained. Electron beam and UV irradiated thin film of the polymer had strong biocidal activity against bacteria and copper nanonetworks were obtained through the chemical reduction of the polymer solution. |
