Flexible and Transparent Hybrid Electrode Based Supercapacitor for Wearable Energy Storage |

In wearable electronic, the conductive electrodes are always having conductivity (σDC), flexibility, transparency(T) and durability issues, particular in the field of wearable energy storage. The bilayer metal nanowire(NW) and conducting polymer hybrid electrodes(HE) were fulfill the industrial criteria, while retaining its high capacitance. Herein, the cost effective method was employed to fabricate thin layer of HE by additional conjugated polyelectrolyte and nickel hydroxide on metal NW as current collector which were embedded into UV-cured polymer. The flexible HE was exhibit excellent T (90%) and high σDC (3300 S cm-1). The symmetrical all-solid-state supercapacitors were assembled using gel-electrolyte, which results in maximum areal capacitance 3.2 mF cm-2 (at current density of 10 µA cm-2) based on galvanostatic charge-discharge. The devices shows excellent mechanical stability with highest reported capacitance, particularly in a flexible and transparent supercapacitor. |
