제목 Correlations between metal-support interaction and hydrocarbon selectivity on Ru-based Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalysts
초록 On the cobalt-based heterogeneous catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction, the catalytic activity and product distribution haven been  known to be affected by the crystallite sizes of active metal, carbon depositions and metal-support interactions. It seems to be difficult to distinguish the individual effects of for altering the catalytic activity and product distribution. The present study clearly confirmed the effects of the metal-support interaction on catalytic activity as well as product distribution by excluding the effects of sintering and coke deposition by using sub-2 nm Ru NPs supportd on various supports. The oxidation states and reducibility of active Ru metal on the supports change the metal-suuport interaction significantly, and undesired CH4 formation was increased with an increases of metal-support interactions by selectively forming highly oxidized Ru NPs. These phenomena were also well-correlated and explained for the cobalt-based FTS catalysts as well.
