Hydrogen is a non-polluting, efficient energy source that can be widely used as a feedstock in fuel cell and chemical industry However, the traditional hydrogen production process has a problem in that not only hydrogen but also various greenhouse gases are produced such as CO2. To solve these problems, many efforts have been attempted with various methods. The catalytic methane decomposittion is an environmentally friendly process that produces only hydrogen andcarbon as products without generating other gases. Zeolites have a well-defined pore structure, high surface area and excellent metal-dispersion features, which are crucial in the simultaneous production of hydrogen and carbon nanomaterials. In this work, properties such as stability and methane conversion of nickel-zeolite catalysts had been investigated and analyzed. |
