Improvement of biofuel upgrade reaction efficiency by phase transition catalytic reaction and fine stirring system |
초록 |
Methane gas causes the global warming problem as one of the six major greenhouse gases. Although a large amount of methane gas exists on the Earth, its application is limited due to high C-H binding energy (438 kJ/mol). It is well known that methanotrophs use methanemonooxygenase (MMO) to convert methane to methanol at ambient conditions. In this study, we develop a novel phase transfer catalysis system to improve the methane-methanol conversion rate and to facilitate the methanol separation. This work offers a promising methodology that can repeatedly and continuously perform the methane-methanol biofuel upgrade reaction using methanotrophs as a biocatalyst. |
