Effect of inorganic solid species in methoxy-nonafluorobutane microcapsules shell for fire suppression |
초록 |
Most of fires by electrical factors in which occurs in inaccessible place where the initial action to suppress fire is tough causes enormous impact on various field. In this circumstance, fire extinguishing microcapsules was intrigued for initial suppression to fires without manual operation. The microencapsulation by complex coacervation have been known as one of the most suitable processes for encapsulating highly volatile liquid materials due to its simplicity and low reaction temperature compared to any other methods . In this study, we encapsulated the liquid fire extinguishing agent, methoxy-nonafluorobutane , and added various inorganic solid particles i.e. SiO2, TiO2, and alumina, into the polymer shell matrix. Various characterizations were conducted to identify the effects of inorganic solid species in polymer matrix on the properties of final microcapsules. |
