Recently, considerable research attentions have been concentrated on carbon dots (CDs) owing to their great optoelectrical performance, chemical inertness, and low cytotoxicity. CDs based on lysine (AB2 type monomer; A:COOH, B:NH2) is more biocompatible compared with existing CDs because lysine is a kind of essential amino acid. The prepared CDs show strong blue emission at 431 nm. Synthesis of lysine-based CDs was implemented by bottom-up approach through microwave operation. Because of using a household microwave oven, it is very simple and has a short synthesis time within 5 min. In addition, using one kind of monomer to prepare CDs leads to excellent scalability. Further specific characterization will be showed in detail. 2016년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
