Carbon nanomaterials have attracted intensive research interests due to their superior optoelectrical properties. Recently, 0D carbon quantum dots (CQDs) have been intensively studied due to their excellent biocompatibility, superior water solubility, and low cost compared with their counterparts, semiconductor quantum dots (QDs). In this study, CQDs were prepared through microwave-assisted polymerization and carbonization of succinic acid (SA) and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (TAEA) as A3 (A:-COOH) and B2 (B:-NH2) type monomer, respectively. Prepared CQDs showed high fluorescence quantum yield (QY) of 49.9% and mass yield of 20% and presented low cytotoxicity both in MTT and LDH assays, which renders prepared CQDs to be promisingly utilized in various bio-applications including multicolor fluorescent bioimaging. 2017년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
