Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) are captivating carbon materials that have been gained growing research interests because of their distinct advantages such as biocompatibility and superior optoelectrical performance that are hardly attainable in the case of their counterparts, inorganic quantum dots (QDs). In our study, synthesis of the CQDs was conducted by bottom-up method using microwave operation. Strongly fluorescent CQDs are prepared from citric acid and 4, 7, 10-Trioxa-1,13-tridecanediamine (TTDDA) as polyamidation monomer set. Prepared CQDs show strong blue emission at 436 nm under ultraviolet irradiation. Photoluminescence quantum yield of prepared CQDs was about 29 %. The easy synthesis, fast preparation time less than 5 min, high mass yield, superior fluorescence performance, and low cytotoxicity make prepared CQDs to be promisingly exploited in various applications including optoelectronics and bio-applications. 2017년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
