제목 The synthesis of propylene glycol from glycerol using Cu-Cr-ZnO catalysts
초록 Hydrogenolysis of glycerol to propylene glycol was performed using copper chromite, copper-zinc oxide, copper-chromium-zinc oxide catalysts. The effects of temperature, hydrogen pressure, initial water content, choice of catalyst, and the amount of catalyst were evaluated. The properties of catalysts were studied by X-ray diffaction (XRD), NH3 and CO2 temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and BET surface area. Gas chromatography (GC) data showed the tendency between reaction condition (temperature , hydrogen pressure etc.) and conversion of glycerol with selectivity toward propylene glycol.
