Preparation of polymeric surface modifier for montmorillonite containing 2-isocyanatoethylmethacrylate through nitroxide mediated polymerization technique and its application in nanocomposites for dental materials |
초록 |
In this work, a bifunctional block copolymer was prepared through nitroxide mediated polymerization technique for the surface modification of montmorillonite (MMT) and its application in nanocomposites for dental materials. The block copolymer was composed of a segment containing 4-vinyl pyridine repeating unit that is capable of reaction with Na+-MMT via a cation exchange. The other segment contained pendant 2-isocyanatioethylmethacrylate unit for potential co-crosslinking of MMT with poly(bis-GMA) matrix. Poly(bis-GMA)/MMT nanocomposite was then prepared using the modified MMT, and its properties were investigated for dental applications.
