Electrochemical performance of polymer electrolytes based on PEOincorporating PEI coated on inorganic fillers |

There are much efforts to improve the ionic conductivity of solid polymer electrolytes. One of them is directed towards the inorganic filler systems. In this work, poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) polymer electrolytes for secondary batteries were prepared using a solution casting technique. Poly(ethylenimine) (PEI) coated on inorganic fillers was added in PEO polymer electrolytes. Silica as the inorganic filler and LiClO4 as a salt were used to compose the solid polymer electrolyte composites. The addition of PEI coated on inorganic fillers resulted in better ionic conductivity at room temperature. The ionic conductivity and relating structural changes by adding polymer-modified filler will be presented. |
