Zirconium phosphate (ZrP) composite membrane for vanadium redox flow battery |
초록 |
Zirconium phosphate (ZrP) composite membranes were developed for use in vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB). Nafion 115 membrane and sulfonated poly (p-phenylene) multi-block copolymer based membrane (PcP 2.5) were employed to fabricate ZrP composite membranes. The ZrP composite membranes were prepared by impregnation method and compared with pristine membranes. Although pristine PcP2.5 had lower ion conductivity than pristine Nafion 115, PcP 2.5 / ZrP composite membrane showed higher ion conductivity than Nafion 115 / ZrP composite membrane. Finally, the VRFB assembled with PcP 2.5 / ZrP composite membrane showed higher voltage efficiency (75-94.5%) and energy efficiency (74-89%) than any other membranes under a wide range of current densities (25-150mA/cm2). |
