제목 Simultaneously Self-assembled Fluorescent Magnetic Nanoprobes for Multimode-Biomedical Imaging
초록 Fluorescent magnetic nanoprobes (FMNPs) were fabricated with amphiphilic pyrenyl polyethylene glycol (Py-PEG) and monodispersed superparamagnetic MnFe2O4 (MNCs) for application as multimodal (MR and fluorescence) imaging probes by a nano-emulsion method. Py-PEG as an amphiphilic fluorescent surfactant was formed by conjugating hydrophilic PEG with hydrophobic and fluorescent 1-pyrenebutyric acid through esterification process. Py-PEG was able to be self-assembled in aqueous phase and maintained high fluorescent intensity. FMNPs were maintained superparamagnetism of MNCs and fluorescence of Py-PEG simultaneously. Furthermore, the NIH 3T6.7 cells treated with FMNPs were detected through MR and fluorescence imaging. Therefore, FMNPs were verified a sufficient sensitivity to external magnetic fields and fluorescence properties to serve as nanoprobes for multimode biomedical imaging.
