Neuronal Differentiation of Muscle-Derived Stem Cells on Growth Factor-Immobilized Micropatricles |
초록 |
The use of stem cells that can be expanded to high cell numbers as well as differentiated into neuronal cells is a rapidly emerging field for the regeneration or reconstruction of nervous system. However, their insufficient differentiation into neuronal cells and poor long-term survival in the body still remain as major obstacles. To compensate the limitations, we developed growth factors (NGF and bFGF)-immobilized PCL/Pluronic F127 microparticles to enhance the neuronal differentiation of stem cells (by sustained release of growth factors) and prolong the cell survival (by microparticles as a cell carrier). The morphologies and growth factor release behaviors of the microparticles were investigated. Their induction potential for neuronal differentiation by the growth factors released from the microparticles was also evaluated using muscle-derived stem cells as a model cell.
