The aggregation of highly emissive organics and polymers into a solid state causes an emission-quenching effect, since the aggregation of molecules forms less emissive species such as excimers.1,2 In contrast, few results on aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties have been recently reported. 1,1-dichloro-2,3,4,5-tetraphenylsilole (1) was reacted with LiAlH4 to give 1,1-dihydro-2,3,4,5-tetraphenylsilole (2). 1,1-diaminopropyl-2,3,4,5-tetraphenylsilole (3) was obtained from the reaction of 2 and allylamine in the presence of platinum catalyst by hydrosilation. Biotin-derivatized silole molecule (4) was obtained from the reaction of 3 with biotin tetrafluorophenyl ester. |
