Nanocomposite consisting of acrylic copolymer/carbon material was prepared by radical solution polymerization in order to enhance the electromagnetic interference shielding property of a conductive film. Among various conducting fillers, carbon-based fillers have been extensively investigated for use as electromagnetic interference shielding owing to their unique properties of electrical conduction, polymeric flexibility and light weight. Acrylic copolymer was used as a polymeric binder, which has excellent adhesion properties and flexibility. To make electrically conductive adhesive layer, acrylic copolymer/carbon material nanocomposite was coated on the release film with a bar coater. Morphology and structure were studied by scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer. The electrical properties were evaluated by 4-point probe to measure a surface resistance. The effective expression of electromagnetic interference shielding property of a conductive film was attributed to the improved conducting characteristics of acrylic adhesive. |
