제목 Preparation and Characterization of Biodegradable Poly(butylene succinate) (PBS)/Organoclay Nanocomposite Foams
초록 PBS/organoclay nanocomposites were prepared by the solution blending and the melt mixing. Nanocomposites of PBS/organoclay were also prepared by the so-called SOAM method, where the solution-blended nanocomposites were further mixed in the melt state. XRD and TEM data indicated that organoclays were intercalated in the PBS matrix in all cases. Mechanical and thermal properties of PBS/organoclay nanocomposites were measured by UTM, TGA, and DSC. The nanocomposite foams with high density closed-cells were prepared by using a chemical blowing agent (CBA) which acted as a cell nucleating agent. The effect of the foaming conditions and the organoclays on the blowing ratio and the morphology of the expanded PBS foams were investigated.
