Self-assembly of block copolymers (BCPs) have significant potential for use as scaffolds, membranes and templates for the fabrication of arrays of nanometer length scale. BCPs consist of two monomer components. Nanoporous films have been studied because of their wide range of potential applications, such as advanced filters, lithographic mask and nanofluidics. A highly ordered nanoporous films can be made the minority block that is removed or selectively swollen. These kind of nanoporous films can be controlled the tunable pore size and ability for selective functionalization. In this work, nanoporous BCP films of polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinylpyridine) or polystyrene-block-polylactide are controlling the pore size and useful morphology of hexagonally packed cylinders. Furthermore, functional group is applied to pore by modifying the surface of nanoporous films. It is expected that the ability of the nanoporous films are improved and can be applied to various applications. |
