제목 Advances in Polymer Solar Cells with Bulk Heterojunction Layers – Role of Grazing Incidence X-ray Diffraction Techniques
초록 The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of polymer solar cells has been encouragingly improved up to >10% on the basis of single stack cells. If applying tandem structures, >11% PCE could be achieved. Very recently, all-polymer solar cells exhibited steadily improved PCE up to ~6%. These successful PCE improvement stories could be made in principle by applying the concept of bulk heterojunction (BHJ). Here we need to pay our keen attention to the nanomorphology in the BHJ layers, which is understood one of the key factors to be controlled toward such high PCE. Of various scientific techniques applied for polymer solar cells, grazing incident X-ray diffraction (GIXD) techniques have greatly contributed to the in-depth investigation on the nanostructure and nanomorphology of BHJ layers. This talk will be devoted to summarize the role of GIXD techniques and some of excellent examples will be discussed together with our recent GIXD measurement results.
