Copper chromites have been synthesized in various dispersant solution. The activities of the hydrogenation reaction of the synthesized catalysts were tested in the mild condition of 100 atm and 280 ℃. In order to optimize the reaction, the effects of the following factors on the fatty alcohol formation have been considered: i) temperature ii) pressure and iii) the concentration of catalyst. The yield of fatty alcohols were more than 95% (Dodecanol: 96.0%, hexadecanol: 96.5%, octadecanol: 95.8%) in the optimized reaction condition. The fatty alcoholswere purified by simple distillation and their purity is higher than 98%. |
