In recent years, polymeric biomaterials have been widely utilized for tissue engineering and biomedical applications, such as porous scaffold, orthopedic device, tissue adhesion barrier, nerve guide conduit, surgical suture, surgical adhesive, and so on. However, intelligent polymeric biomaterials with unique functions still need to be developed to improve the quality of life for human being. Our research groups have been also focused on the polymeric biomaterials for this purpose. In this presentation, our current researches including oxygen releasing 3D porous scaffold, thermo-sensitive anti-tissue adhesion barrier, and nerve guide conduit with selective permeability will be discussed. |
