제목 Effects of nanostructured Ni decoration on NO reduction behaviors of activated carbon
초록 The adsorption of nitric oxide (NO) has recently become a critical issue since it is one of the most popular air pollutants. Activated carbons (ACs) are favorable for adsorbing toxic and polar gases. However, it is well recognized that NO is difficult to be adsorbed by ACs themselves at low concentration and temperature. Therefore, in this work, we employed a simple metal-nanoparticle-decoration-method on the surface of ACs, which consists of air spraying of metal precursors and following thermal reduction for good dispersion of metal particles and forming nanoparticles. Metal species loaded, the microstructure, and textural properties of ACs were analyzed by EDX, XRD, and N2/77K adsorption isotherms, respectively. From the results, it was found that metal content and particle size play a key role to remove NO gas in this work.
