Fluorinated copolymers have received considerably much attention to have excellent and noticeable features such as high thermal stability, oil and water repellency, and low dielectric constant. Also, they can be used in the field of marine environments due to their low surface tension, non-adhesive nature, and antifouling properties. In the study, we prepared new perfluorinated copolymers from new acrylamide-based monomer containing perfluorooctyl phenyl unit (PFOMAM) and DOPAM in the presence of free radical initiator (BPO). Their resulting film and fiber were prepared by solvent casting and electrospinning processes, respectively. Dynamic contact angle and AFM/SEM results confirmed that the perfluorinated copolymer film and fiber have excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic properties as well as good antifouling behavior. |
