제목 | Synthesis of Cyclic Olefin Polymer with high transparency and thermal stability for electronic devices |
초록 | Cyclic olefin polymer (COP) has emerged as a potential material for the plastic lens, optical devices, packaging due to its excellent transparency, thermal stability, moisture resistance, and low density. COP can be synthesized by alpha-addition or sequential ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) and hydrogenation of unsaturated double bond in the backbone. Among them, ROMP was regarded as ean ffective way to prepare COP due to tremendous reactivity, mild reaction condition. Herein, we prepare the COP with tremendous visible light transmittance and high glass transition temperature using a WCl6 catalyst system. Three different monomers were polymerized as random type copolymer, and glass transition temperature can be modulated by varying monomer ratio while maintaining high transmittance. This study reveals the possibility of preparing COP using an in-expensive WCl6 catalyst system. |
