Conjugated polymers (CPs) have emerged as a new generation of organic fluorescent materials as a class of fluorescent macromolecules with highly delocalized π-conjugated backbones. Many CPs containing electron donor−acceptor groups in the main chain have been designed using 1,4-bis(octyloxy)benzene, 1,4-bis(4-sulfonatobutoxy)benzene and phenylenes as electron-donating groups and diketopyrrolopyrrole derivatives as electron-accepting groups. We have synthesized CPs via Suzuki-coupling reaction, controlling molar composition and donor units of polymers backbone. Especially, water-soluble CPs have been designed and synthesized by controlling the length of side chains of polymers. We obtained various CPs with interesting photophysics and optical properties. Also, we found exciton migration as comparative analysis CPs with specific fluorescence optical properties. |
