제목 | Fabrication of silica/perfluoroalkyl methacrylate polymer particles in supercritical carbon dioxide |
초록 | Inorganic particles have inherent specific properties of magnetism, photochromism, conductivity, catalysis etc. which are applicatively made use of many functional materials. In many cases, the particles have been incorporated into organic materials such as compound or polymer in practical use. Especially, silica particles provide a broad range of technological applications because of their excellent abrasive, optical, electrical, and thermal properties. Common applications of silica particles include use as catalysts or catalyst supports, insulating materials, stiffening or binding agents for fibrous or granular materials, and polishing and antisticking or antisoiling agents. In this study, silica/perfluoroalkyl methacrylate polymer particles were prepared using various type of silica by polymerization in supercritical carbon dioxide. The morphology of these particles was observed by SEM and TEM. To confirm amount of polymer on silica, we analyzed using TGA and EPMA. |
