Organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) is effective not only in purifying solvent contaminated with small particles but also in solvent recovery. Due to the unique structure and excellent mechanical stability of carbon nanotube, hybridization of carbon nanotube has been investigated for the filtration field, which can have enhanced solvent flux by the intercalation of carbon nanotube. In this work, we synthesized the carbon nanotube/graphene nanoribbon (CNT/GNR) hybrid material by partially oxidizing the multi-walled carbon nanotube. The CNT/GNR hybrid membrane was coated by a slot-die coater for the fabrication of the membrane for OSN. And, for enhancing the separation performance, the reduction was induced by hot pressing of the CNT/GNR hybrid membrane, which led to the change of the pore structure and d-spacing of the membrane. As a result, it was confirmed that the membrane has a lower molecular weight cut-off with fast solvent flux in OSN performance. |
